Bad Nenndorf
Dive in and feel good. The certified moor, sulfur and brine spa, around 25 km west of Hanover, is scenically attractive between the Deister and Bückeberg mountain ranges.
Modern health care providers and the extensive park with old trees and water features invite you to take a break from everyday life.Historical buildings: The place at the foot of the Deister ridge scores with noble architecture: At the most beautiful place in the spa park there is a classicist castle. All around nature and a view of the promenade - from a unique perspective it can be enjoyed with all your senses in the Café des Schlösschen. The Landgrafenhaus and other splendid lodging houses from the same era as the Schlösschen have been preserved.Botanical diversityChildren stand in amazement, but adults are also enthusiastic about the crooked growth: the Süntelbuchen-Allee in the spa park is the only formation of this type of old Süntelbuchen in the world. This is a rare form of the common beech that was planted over a hundred years ago. The vernacular likes to call the bizarre tree shapes »witch wood«. But also the rare handkerchief trees, the over 200 year old beeches or the gigantic sequoia trees are worthwhile destinations in the park of Bad Nenndorf.
