Routes in Rhön

A day hike on the border of the „Lange Rhön“ nature reserve, which provides an insight into the history of the region and also has a lot to offer for the eye thanks to the grandiose distant views.

The Rhön-Höhen-Weg takes us from Bad Salzungen in the Thüringische Rhön through the culturally and agriculturally varied Bavarian Rhön to Burgsinn in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart.

The European Long-distance Trail E6 is an ambitious project that will one day run continuously from northern Finland to Turkey. On the German section we hike with gradually increasing gradients from north to south.

The Hochrhöner is currently one of four German long-distance hiking trails certified as a premium trail by the German Hiking Institute. This seal of quality promises a particularly natural and varied hiking experience along the entire route. The tour indicated here runs from Bad Kissingen to Bad Salzungen.

The long-distance hike „Der Hochrhöner“ starts in Bad Kissingen and ends in Bad Salzungen. In the middle of the tour, the trail splits into a western and an öeastern route. The variant described here, also called Route „Lange Rhön”, leads past the black moor, Frankenhain and Zella until both variants meet again near Andenhausen.

The hike leads through the 20,000-metre Kleinbardorf Jewish cemetery on a journey through time that reveals the Jewish past and the expansion of Jewish culture.

This tour covers the German section of the European Long Distance Trail E3. It leads from Schirnding in Upper Franconia to Perl in Saarland. Over a distance of around 840 km, it goes from east to west through Bavaria, Hesse and Saarland.

We hike on the Vorderrhönweg from Oepfershausen to the northwest. The tour takes us through a beautiful section of the Thuringian Kuppenrhön.

This tour takes us from Poppenhausen up to the Pferdkopf and the Wasserkuppe. From there we hike past the Guckai lake back to Poppenhausen.
