Heads up! Recent storms have downed several large trees in the last 8km of the trail. Some I could climb over or crawl under. Others forced me to cut up into the forest and then back down at a different point. All in all it probably added a 1km to the hike. Multi-tool and extra band aids highly suggested!! Other than that though? AMAZING trail. So many wonderful views. Going up to the top of the Burg is a must. Leave your pack below and bring a mini flashlight though. Parts of the trail were way over crowded, especially around the Huette, but that's just the time of year.
