The church monuments and ancient boundary stones make this short hike a very special experience.

The start is in Grüsselbach. A visit to the local church "Sankt Anna Chapel" is worthwhile. Directly opposite the church is the birthplace of Johann Adam Förster. He was a member of the German National Assembly (Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main, 1948) Continue to the lovingly tended Mariengrotte in the Holl. The Gresselbach Cemetery with its crucifix from 1924 is also worth a visit. Cross the B 84 after the stone crucifix and walk along the edge of the forest to the boundary stone at Hummelsrain. The owners of the time marked their property more than 200 years ago. Now it goes to the somewhat hidden wayside shrine on the Burgholz from 1734. This used to be on the road to Setzelbach and was moved here in the 20th century for traffic reasons. Not far from there is the Johannesstein wayside shrine on the B84. It had a special meaning for the pilgrims in the 18th century. You can only see it from the side of the road on the fast-moving B 84, so caution is advised. On a safe dirt road we then reach the military cemetery in Rasdorf, where the Rasdorf church stood until 1827. You should definitely visit this on another hike. We continue past the romantic Bornmühle back to the starting point at Grüsselbach. We are accompanied by the view of the Gehilfersberg, which is part of the Hessian skittles game.

Author’s recommendation

If you want to take a break in Rasdorf, go to the Via Regia meeting point.
